SEO, Stickiness and Prison

Sounds like a weird triplet, doesn't it.

Let's start with what each one means:

SEO (Search Engine Optimization)- Driving quality traffic to your web site.

Stickiness - All aspects of converting a "web visitor" to a "web buyer". Includes UI (User interface, Content and others).

Prison - A place where criminals are confined, managed by the prison warden.

Your Risk-Free Search Engine Optimization Offer

Your Risk-Free Search Engine Optimization Offer*

CMS Buffet is the Search Engine Optimization Toronto company that knows there are 2 possible scenarios when performing a search on Google/Bing/Yahoo: Users find your web site, or they find your competitor's web site.

We know there is a third option for you to explore: Risk Free Search Engine Optimization

CMS Buffet is proud to announce their new Risk-Free Search Engine Optimization Offer, available immediately to all new Search Engine Optimization clients.

Dvir Weininger, Search Engine Optimization Expert at CMS Buffet, knows Search Engine Optimization can be a bit difficult to grasp. "In order for us to show our new clients exactly how Search Engine Optimization can benefit them, we want to give them the 'private tour'; an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at how Search Engine Optimization functions. That way, they get a better understanding of how we operate, without the usual amount of risk involved. We want our clients to know exactly what they are getting, so they'll realize the potential of Search Engine Optimization right away."

CMS Buffet is offering a 24-month Risk Free Package* that includes the following:

  • Purchase of Web Site Domain

  • Construction of Brand New Web Site

  • Complete Search Engine Optimization Services

  • Customized Content Writing Services

Once your new web site is designed, services are free until you record your first sale. After that, a typical 24-month payment schedule will go into effect. If at any time you are not happy with CMS Buffet's Search Engine Optimization services, you can cancel the contract; no obligation, no questions asked. If, before your first sale is made, you decide Search Engine Optimization is not for you, you can cancel your contract; no obligation whatsoever. The goal of our Risk Free offer is to give you the opportunity to understand and utilize the benefits of Search Engine Optimization with no risk involved to you, or your business.

After 24 months of enjoying the success Search Engine Optimization will bring to your web site, CMS Buffet will transfer ownership of your web site domain to you, upon fulfillment of payment per the contract terms.

"We believe this is an incredible offer that will benefit small business owners who are intimidated by Search Engine Optimization, or are skeptical about its efficacy," Weininger says. "This is the best way to see how well it will work for you. Never before has any Search Engine Optimization Toronto company made this offer, but we are so confident you will see how important Search Engine Optimization is, you'll wonder how you've been in business this long without it."

Further maintenance/modification packages are available upon expiry of the initial 24 month agreement.

"Bing Entertainment" Misses the Mark

Bing, Microsoft's latest entry into the search engine universe, wants to help you find ways to entertain yourself. Unfortunately, all they're offering right now are vague suggestions, rather than the specific information on TV, movies and music as they are promising. We gave Bing's new Entertainment search engine a test run, and the results were, well, disappointing.

We did a search on Bing's generic site for "Chicago", and Bing returned the following:
Chicago Tourism
Chicago Weather
Chicago Hotels
Chicago Attractions
Chicago Band
Wikipedia articles on Chicago

We did not see the following 2:
Chicago the movie
Chicago the Broadway play

This time, we went to Bing's "Entertainment" search engine page, assuming it would know we were looking for forms of entertainment, expecting it to return the following:
Chicago the movie
Chicago the Broadway play
The band Chicago

Unfortunately, we got the same exact results as our search on Bing's normal search engine. It seems there isn't any actual entertainment "screening" taking place on Bing's Entertainment search engine, which actually makes it a portal, not a bona fide search engine.

World Cup 2010 in todays SEO and Social Media world

This week's eagerly anticipated World Cup is going to be the first of the "Twitter" age. The world is gearing up for a frenzied month of competition and all that goes along with it. This is an important moment for Social Media, because there will be many ways to keep up with the matches and the rest of the events. Everything will be happening in real time; on television, mobile phones, and on the most popular social networking sites. Choose your outlet, and effortlessly keep yourself up to date via Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo and your choice of search engine.

All of North America, not to mention the rest of the world, will be paying attention to the World Cup. Globalization has brought us even closer together since the last World Cup in 2006, with the advent of Twitter and the increasing popularity of Social Media. If you're not taking advantage of this new and exciting realm of communication, you and your business are missing out. Embracing Social Media and using it to your advantage is as critical to your success as having an ad in the Yellow Pages used to be. Now, if you can't be found online, you are lost in the great electronic void.

Here are a few simple guidelines to make sure your web presence garners the "buzz" it is worthy of:

- Use Plain Language; Jargon and "marketing-speak" are huge turn-offs to scanners.

- Use Concise, Clear Words; It is always best to say more with less.

- Use Neutral Language; Exaggeration and boasting wreak havoc with your credibility.

Make the most of your content by implementing these simple tactics. The better your writing, the more visibility you will achieve. Keep it short, simple and honest, and you too will be thanking the search engines for leading users to your valuable site.

When the 2010 World Cup is over, the world will be looking forward to following the 2014 tournament in ways we have yet to discover. Make sure you are there on the cutting edge as well.
